California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG) Awards

Standard of Excellence is an initiative of CAPG in its fourth year designed to assess and report the key features and capabilities of accountable, coordinated healthcare organizations to bring value in quality.

The Standard of Excellence initiative assesses the medical group?s infrastructure in 4 categories; Care Management, Health Information Technology, Accountability and Transparency (willingness of an organization to report to the public the compliance with stringent regulations of the State of California) and Patient Centered Care, how well the organization accommodates individualized patient needs and preferences, and embracing a responsible role in a culturally diverse community.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. In 2010 there were eighty groups that participated, representing 10.8 million California patients. There were 25 organizations caring for a population of over 9 million people, qualified for Four Stars ? truly Elite performance in 2010. We are proud to say that Choice Medical Group was one of the 25 organizations that achieved Elite status. Other local organizations scored a three stars performance.

CMG has been serving the residents of the High Desert for over 20 years and has now formed Choice Physicians Network to better service the geriatric population with the same comprehensive infrastructure and services that Choice Medical Group provides.
